| In order to get the best results from our search facilities, it is good to bear in mind a few guidelines which apply to looking for anything on the web. There are a few key points to make finding anything simple. |
Be Logical!
If you know what musical genre your target belongs to, but not the name, start there. Use the category menu to the left to narrow your potential results as much as possible, then you can look through the artist names there to find what you want.
If you know the name of the artist, it's better to just type that into the free text search to the right.
Watch your spelling!
One of the most fustrating and yet simplest search annoyances on the web is having slightly incorrect spelling for the item you are looking for. Make sure you have the correct version of that exotic artists name you are looking for and your life will be easier. A lot of versions of spelling for artists names can be found all over the web, so be careful!
Use all the fields!
Our search facility allows you to look through all of our records, or specify a certain area to look within. Some words can be scarily common in music titles and artist names, so if you have a very generic word it is often best to specify you are looking for an Album, an Artist, or a Label.
This will return results much closer to what you need.
